In addition to the main micropiles included in the original layout, further micropiles were installed during construction, resulting in a substantial overall volume of works. The project also included foundation pile caps connected to the micropiles and load tests to verify performance.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Operational challenges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The works were carried out inside a fully operational steelworks, in restricted spaces and with the need for constant coordination with plant operations. To meet the required programme, the site also operated on a continuous 24\/7 shift basis during the most critical periods, including over Christmas. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Results<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project supported the construction of new foundations while ensuring structural reliability, operational continuity and compliance with the required timeline.
