The project was delivered in a setting of significant historic and architectural value, requiring full respect for construction constraints and the existing structures. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scope of works<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The works involved foundation micropiles to strengthen the existing structures, with lengths of up to approximately 6 metres. The project also included the supply and installation of steel reinforcement to ensure strength, stability and long-term durability. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Operational challenges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The site was located in a complex urban setting in the historic centre of Florence, with restricted working space and existing buildings that had to be protected.
