Jet grouting for industrial foundations

Works completed:

Project overview

Cos.Idra carried out deep ground improvement works using jet grouting at the Montereau industrial plant in France, as part of the construction of new foundations and the improvement of the site’s geotechnical conditions in support of production area development.

Scope of works

The project included single-fluid jet grouting columns, a watertight bottom plug with an overall thickness of approximately 5.5 metres, and the installation of 12 structural anchors around 11 metres long. The works combined ground improvement and stabilisation measures, for a total jet grouting volume of approximately 740 m³.

Operational challenges

The main complexity lay in integrating ground improvement with structural works in an international industrial context requiring precise execution and full compliance with the client’s specifications. Particular attention was paid to treatment continuity and the quality of the columns.

Results

The project ensured structural stability and seepage control, creating the conditions required for the construction of new foundations in a challenging geotechnical setting.
